A magnificent caftan clasp from the Viking Age, made after a find from Ukraine. The Viking caftan clasp was found in a richly decorated tomb of a Rus warrior from the 10th century. The historical model for this caftan clasp is now in the State Historical Museum in Moscow.

Diamond-shaped caftan clasps of the Viking Age are known from both the Varangians of the Kievan Rus and the Magyars, whose costume customs had a great influence on the garb of the Viking Age. The Viking Age caftan clasp is perfect for closing a caftan, but can also find equally good use as a decorative cloak clasp.

The Viking caftan clasp is easily sewn to the hem using the four eyelets on each side.
