Excellent blade for DIY projects. It doesn't have much of a distal taper, so this is best for someone not minding grinding, filing or sanding. It is very sturdy and it is well tempered.
I recommend it for anyone who's up for a bit of work.

spectacular sabre Awesome balance, great weight, exceptional proportions, even and balanced design and finish.
Great for anyone who wants to be a hussar, corsair, or saracen.
Well built, with room to put in a false edge and nice fuller.
Best sabre blade I've handled at this price.
