As described, excellent value Not suitable for staged combat, or HEMA, where movements need to be fast and agile.

PERFECT for full contact HMB, where a weapon needs to be solid and heavy. Amazing at ats original and intended use of defeating pole weapons. Has been used in very heavy armoured combat, still right as a drum, and barely a nick in the blade.

Too heavy for combat I just got mine and thought with a rating of 9 out of 10 would be an excellent fighting sword. What I got was an overweight monster that cannot be seriously contemplated as useable in any safe combat. The edges are not as blunt as the description says but the blade is overly wide and very thick. It hangs very blade heavy in the hands and will need major rebuild work to be safe in re-enactment combat.
