Believed to have adhered to a strict 'pirate code', the life of a colonial pirate crewman was brutal but surprisingly democratic compared to other organisations and governments of their time with all crew members enjoying an equal share of plunder and supplies, compensation for injuries and their own vote in matters of significance on the ship.

This Pirate Crew costume is based on popular renditions of European Colonial pirates.
