An arming sword is a type of single-handed, double edged straight sword commonly used in Europe during the high to late middle ages, roughly from the 11th until the 15th centuries. It typically features a cruciform hilt and blade around 70 to 80 cm in length.
This particular sword features a swept upturned cross guard and a key-style pommel as it resembles 19thC watch keys. The grip is fully timber, and the point is also rounded off according to re-enactment standards allowing you to use this sword in combat without modification needed.
A unique sword for re-enactors, WMA practitioners and collectors looking to gain an edge on the battlefield.
