The primary weapon used by ancient Greek Hoplite troops was a 2-3 meter spear with a leaf-shaped blade at one end and a short spike at the other. This spear was known as the doru. The doru was used one-handed whilst the other hand supported the soldier's shield; it's length allowed multiple ranks of soldiers in phalanx to fight simultaneously.
This kit contains a steel leaf spearhead and a brass buttspike, called a sauroter. The tips would most likely need to be rounded for re-enactment purposes.
