This set of two Viking leg wrap hooks is a faithful replica of a find from the Viking town of Birka in Sweden and dates to the 10th century. The Viking leg wrap hooks were found in the Birka burial 903 in the knee area of a man as a pair on a pair of linen trousers. The hooks are published in a paper in the book Birka II by Inga Hägg.
Leg wraps were worn by men and women alike among the Vikings and can be found in the Rus areas as well as in England and the Scandinavian area. The small eyelets allow the hook to be conveniently sewn onto the top of the leg wraps.
