Woven braid with meandering pattern like on the sculpture located in Athens museum. A decorative border constructed from a continuous line, shaped into a repeated motif.
It is based on a Kore sculpture in the Athens museum thought to be from 500~490 BCE and is known as the 'Acropolis 685'. The original (archaic) sculpture had paint that was studied and colour paintings were made over 100 years ago when the discovery was still new, a copy of the statue was also made and painted. The Korai of the Acropolis of Athens are a group of female statues discovered in the Perserschutt of the Acropolis of Athens.
There are 2 braids on the same sculpture, you can find the other one here.
Combined they are perfect for an ancient Greek inspired impression with an amount of accuracy in terms of style.
This braid was developed by MFC and is not available anywhere else.
