Woven braid with crenelated style pattern modeled on a sculpture located in Athens museum. A decorative border constructed from a continuous pattern.
It is based on a Kore sculpture in the Athens museum thought to be from 500~490 BCE and is known as the 'Acropolis 685'. The original (archaic) sculpture had paint that was studied and colour paintings were made over 100 years ago when the discovery was new, a copy of the statue was then made and painted. The Korai of the Acropolis of Athens are a group of female statues discovered in the Perserschutt of the Acropolis of Athens.
There are 2 braids on the same sculpture, you can find the other one here.
Combined they are perfect for an ancient Athenian inspired impression that will have an amount of accuracy in style.
This braid was developed by MFC and is not available anywhere else.
