A leaf blade sword is a style of sword originating from the very beginning of sword smithing. As the first swords were made of copper and bronze, they were lightweight and needed to be thickened for power. The leaf blade is a design with a thick but narrow base, a wide cutting portion and a thin tip. This allowed for fast cuts and thrusts whilst compensating for the structural weakness of bronze.
Luckily for us, this leaf blade is made of steel, and features no such weaknesses, and so the design is purely for style and aesthetics. This sword in particular features a Celtic Cross and anthropomorphic knotwork pattern etched onto the blade. The grip is black leather with brass bands and a brass pommel. It comes complete with a black leather scabbard and steel fittings.
