This Scottish broadsword is an ornate representation of the style used in Scotland. Whilst not strictly long enough to be referred to as a claymore, this sword features the forward sloping quillions with quatrefoil terminations typical of the claymore style sword in use from the 15th to 17th centuries.
The decorations on this broadsword and scabbard include a rampant lion, the fleur de lys, and of course the symbol of Scotland - the thistle.
