A faithful replica of an openwork Viking amulet that is based on a find from the Viking town of Birka on the isle of Björkö in Sweden. The original find dates to the middle of the 9th century AD and is today in the Statens Historiska Museum in Stockholm / Sweden. Several identical pendants of this type were found in Birka, for example in the graves 835, 968 and 1084. The amulet therefore apparently enjoyed great popularity among the inhabitants of Birka at that time.
A 1 m long black leather cord is included.
