These boots are based on archeological findings made in York, aged between the 9th and 10th centuries. The toggles on the side are made entirely of leather and are on long straps allowing for easy tightening and loosening.

These boots are constructed using vegetable tanned leather, making them the historically superior choice for re-enactors. Not only is it historical method of tanning leather, but it also allows for the application of dyes and stains over other forms of tanning.
