Vegvisir Horn Stand
A vegvísir (Icelandic for 'sign post, wayfinder') is an Icelandic magical stave intended to help the bearer find their way through rough weather.
This horn stand is made from 100% sustainable Australian pine right here in Australia in the Fight Club workshop. After sanding we burn the Vegvisir pattern straight into the wood (one side only).
It has been designed to work with almost any horn size. Horn stands are required at feasts and gatherings where people will be using a horn to drink from.
This stand is supplied unstained and can be used as is or you can stain to any colour you desire.
All of the Northern European nations formerly drank out of horns, which were commonly those of the urus or European buffalo.
Measures 18.5cm long by 9cm wide.
Wood thickness is 1cm
