A full handle suite, including leather-bound wooden grip, steel crossguard and steel end cap, for making your next Eastern European sabre.

This handle set is based on the hussar sabre made famous in the late 17thC by the Polish Hussars, the iconic heavy cavalry of the Polish Commonwealth. With a closed guard for protection and thumb ring for added dexterity in combat, ideally this grip is fitted to a slightly curved blade to form the polish szabla.

For what you pay I would've expected a little bit more, at the very least I would expect zero rust but there was surface rust inside the cross guard and inside the thumb ring, handle construction doesn't seem the greatest, will probably break after 4-5 good uses. other than that the pommel cap comes threaded which is a plus and everything overall is a nice shape and serviceable after some clean up

Excellent handle! Very sturdy and well made. Fixed it to a Hanwei Rapier blade with no real issue and I am excited to use it.

Only problem I have is the leather and string wrapping is a bit sloppy. No issue since I can just re wrap it myself.
