Our Ersatz Falchion sword is based on illustrations in the Maciejowski (or Morgan) bible. Blade edge is sharp and not designed for re-enactment combat.The weapon combined the weight and power of an axe with the versatility of a sword. Falchions are found in different forms from around the 11th century up to and including the sixteenth century.

Wow. What can I say? The spike on the back end really drives home how scary some of the medieval weapons could be. This weapon is weighted more like an axe or mace, with more heft at the top of the weapon, so it handles differently to most swords; as such you'll need to build up some different muscles to wield it effectively. Came well packaged and is very good value for what you pay. It's a scary bit of kit.
