The Celtic Cross, the combination of the Christian crucifix and the pre-Christian Celtic symbology of the circle. The latter represents eternity, the endless cycle of life and rebirth, or perhaps the Sun and its golden halo. The former of course carries with it all of the cultural and religious significance of the Holy Cross. The combination of these elements represents the transition of the pagan cultures towards Christianity, and the blending of cultures that occurred over the thousand year process.
This pendant also features several elaborate Celtic knotwork designs, and also comes with a silver coloured chain.
