To compare these high quality gauntlets with other inferior Gothic gauntlets please remember that some details can't be clearly seen in the photographs. Ask your supplier if the fingers are durable and properly constructed like the MFC Gothic gauntlets, and if they have each finger plate riveted to the plate either side of it. We would bet in most cases that the finger plates are riveted to a strip of leather. Historical production values found in these gauntlets are rare in off the shelf products so remember not all Gothic gauntlets are the same.

These gauntlets are really good for protection and movement. I have found they give my hands, fingers and wrists up to 90% range of movement, and holding a sword and shield or 2h sword is comfortable enough that I can maintain a strong grip.
The steel is obviously really strong and I have taken a beating wearing these but my hands are uninjured from it.
The only issue I had was with the strings holding the steel fingers to the leather gloves. Two of the strings snapped whilst in use. However these were easy to replace with wire, and since replacing all of the strings with wire I have had no issue.
