This straight sword is a classic in the high medieval swords. The wheel pommel, bent crossguard and leather wrapped grip are hallmarks of popular blades dating from the late 13thC to the middle 14thC. (Type XIV in the Oakeshott morphology). The blade itself is generously long, featuring a generous fuller and comfortable balance point.
