The burgonet helm is staple of 16thC European warriors. Typical of Polish Hussars, cavalry, lancers and cuirassiers, the burgonet provided most of the protection of a full close helm, but without the weight, breathing restriction, and cost, making it a favourite amongst the warriors of the time. This helmet is elegantly decorated with brass rivets and has a sexfoil motif, evoking a golden shining sun or blooming flower. A graceful helmet for the distinguished fighter.
