This Arming Sword is a classic in the high medieval swords. The wheel pommel, bent crossguard and leather wrapped grip are hallmarks of popular blades dating from the late 13thC to the middle 14thC. (Type XIV in the Oakeshott morphology). The blade itself is generously long, featuring a wide fuller and comfortable balance point. The sword is an exquisite fit for any reenactor from the high medieval period.
The blade, pommel and cross guard are constructed from tempered EN45 carbon steel, and the sword is full tang. The hilt consists of a wooden grip wrapped in brown leather cord. The scabbard is hardwood wrapped in stiff brown leather, featuring a wooden belt hook.
