This is a dimensional copy of Mary Rose bracer 81A1185. Like the original, it is made from harness butt leather and dyed red. The shape of the buckle is inferred from the shape of the iron accretion adhering to the strap, the use of copper rivets also comes from the originals.
The archers in William Nead's book The Double Armed Man of 1623 all wear similar arm guards.
Fits 24-37cm sleeve
Protect the leather and iron with a beeswax coating.
