The primary weapon used by ancient Greek Hoplite troops was a 2-3 meter spear with a leaf-shaped blade at one end and a short spike at the other. This spear was known as the doru. The doru was used one-handed whilst the other hand supported the soldier's shield.
This spear features a steel leaf blade and a brass tip. The tip would need to be rounded for re-enactment combat.
