This Rus helmet is a reconstruction of fragmented pieces found in Novgorod, Russia, dated from the 10thC to the 12thC. An elegant design, featuring brass edging along the salient joins of the helmet. Made of four steel panels riveted together, joined by a brow band and featuring a nose guard. The brow band comes with plentiful hooks for attaching a maille aventail. The helmet also features a leather chinstrap and internal leather webbing for height adjustment.
Bonus: the knop at the crest of the helmet can also double as a plume holder!
A perfect helmet for re-enactment combat or WMA, especially those who are interested in Rus and Scandinavian history.
