The Flamberge Rapier - the answer to the question of how to make rapiers look even cooler.
Flamberge is the name given to any blade with an undulating wave pattern - meant to resemble a flickering flame, hence the moniker. The two most common flamberges were longswords and rapiers, but many swords had the pattern.
This particular sword is a rapier, featuring a Flemish style swept basket hilt, wire-wrapped leather grip, and of course, the characterising flame blade. The blade is long and thin, perfect for vicious thrusts and whipping slices.
This blade is blunt, but still features an edge that is ~1mm thick. We recommend further blunting of the tip and edge before use in reenactment combat.
