Description
Cast bronze strapend with animal head tip and Borre ring-chain ornamentation. From a male burial in a chamber grave at Birka, together with a matching buckle ( seen here). Specially created for museum exhibition 'VIKINGS' (ANMM, Sydney 2005-06). Comes complete with backing plate and four pins, the attachment system is exactly as the original.
