Wakizashi Companion Sword - Rubber
Our range of foam rubber weapons are made of soft and durable polyurethane rubber. They contain a fibre glass rod for strength and rigidity. This rod ends before the tip of the sword. These have been designed for LARP or anyone who wants to play at sword fighting without the risk of serious injury.
Wakizashi have been in use as far back as the 15th or 16th century. The wakizashi was used as a backup or auxiliary sword; it was also used for close quarters fighting, to behead a defeated opponent and sometimes to commit seppuku, a ritual suicide.
The wakizashi was one of several short swords available for use by Samurai.
Our wakizashi is foam with material ribbon grip.
