Fair Maiden Costume

This type of headdress originated in Venice from a buqta. Marco Polo brought one of these tall hats, typical of Mongolian queens, back to Europe. Its appearance caused a sensation, and the vogue of wearing similar headdresses spread immediately throughout Europe.
This costume has been inspired by women of nobility in the Middle Ages.
